Once again I would like to pimp Boston by Night which you should all totally check out. Also should totally all join.

The goal of the play-by-post is, at the most basic, to weave a chronicle about the experiences of a group of friends inducted into the supernatural world at roughly the same time, but inducted into different groups, creating tension that should be interesting to roleplay. For example, one individual might end up going through the Embrace while another goes through First Change and another Awakens or becomes Imbuned.

I don't expect all the characters to know each other, but the idea is that every character should be on friendly terms with at least one character either at the beginning of the game or shortly after the game begins.

Since Boston is multicultural, more or less, and has a college, I'm allowing a wide range of character types. The only thing I'm not accepting, really, are Sabbat and mummies. But the more varied the group the better, since that would result in more opportunities for creative tension.

The play style is player-driven. For the most part the players determine the plot, since the chronicle focuses on their interactions, and I provide the backdrop. If someone retreats entirely into the mundane world, then the other members of their group will come knocking, but we aren't going to be doing constant Pentex raids.


Oh, and I cannot emphasize this enough: The Technocracy in Boston by Night is not what it normally is. It is this.
