We had ice, for a while. It poured all day and the rain froze on the trees, coating them with ice. The boughs bent beneath their weight. Pine needles and grass blades were in the center of fat fingers of ice. This was after we had a few inches of snow.
Neither lasted long, of course, and they've been really the only snow and ice we've had all winter. Mostly, the weather is just overcast, sometimes foggy, and... damp. The ground is waterlogged and soggy and it's kind of gross. I think it's been like this most of the winter, really. And it feels like we haven't had a winter with a lot of snow or ice in a long time.
But we used to. We used to get several foot long icicles and deep snow drifts. It's kind of weird to think about how they're gone. I can't know if climate change is responsible, but this definitely seems odd.
Don't have pictures, I'm afraid. While I got a new camera, it's been either too dreary or just too cold to use it much.
