Glass

I have a deep fondness for glass. Lampworking is something I'm actually pretty good at, even if it' pretty much something I have only a few tricks for. And yesterday I made two beads, one I call 'Forest' and the other I call 'Ocean'. They're both swirl of color in a clear glass medium.

I've also created a watercolor that I call 'Possibility of Joy' (when I upload it you'll see why), and started painting my staff. So the past few days have been good days for art.

Oh, and I created a new filter, High Access. If you don't want to be in it or want to be in it and aren't already, PM (or whatever this system calls it) me.

I love lampworking. I still have a beginner torch, but it's been years since I've used it. I've wanted a professional torch for some time now. I think you're the first lampworker I've met in an online setting that wasn't deviantART. :)

What kind of beads do you make, and what's your style?

When I did lampwork regularly my style varied from piece to piece. I had a very zen approach to the process. Whatever felt most compatible with my emotions at the time was what got made. I would usually try to make a set of 8 or more similar beads, and from that I might be able to harvest a good set of four for earrings, or I would make a necklace out of all of them.
